Acrylic hullside windows are highly complex since they must follow the shape of the hull and need be formed in such a manner they can be securely bonded to the landing on the hull. Bonding agents require minimum UV penetration, so usually a painted outer layer is also required, known as a frit.
Two types of bonding can be implemented depending on the design style of the boat: BACKFILLED and FLOATING
